Industrial accident at Speedway Broome County, one dead

One man is deceased after an industrial accident at a Speedway on Front Street in the town of Dickinson.
New York State Police at Binghamton and emergency personnel were dispatched to 704 Front Street in the town of Dickinson at approximately 1:41 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2019 for a report of an explosion.
An investigation revealed that a male worker was inside an underground tank, cleaning it when an explosion occurred. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time, he is from the Syracuse area.
Several agencies are on scene at this time and OSHA is in route to conduct their investigation.
